GraVity Dance Company is a goal-oriented studio that is commited to achieving excellence. Inspired by team building and the power of camaraderie, together we strive for greatness both in and out of the classroom. Through cutting edge dance training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Acro, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Modern and Improv, at 3 different intensity levels, we strive to create the next generation of highly proficient dancers, teachers and choreographers. Our staff is also dedicated to always provide a safe, clean, organized and well-equipped facility.

Our Facility

Amazing dancers need a space that helps them learn and grow. That’s why our facility is fully-equipped with renovated studios that feature sprung floors, a new sound system, and state-of-the art equipment. Just outside the main studios, you’ll find change rooms, lockers, and even a homework area. And if you’re just here to watch a dancer in one of our recreational classes, you’ll find yourself feeling right at home in our viewing lobby.

Veronica Chapp Miller

EDUCATION

Veronica Chapp Miller is a perpetual student and thrives from learning. She believes that you can only be an effective teacher if you are willing to be a lifelong learner. Veronica earned her undergraduate degree in Dance Arts and Sociology from the University of Michigan. In 2018 she completed two masters degrees in Dance Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College in Chicago, Illinois. While in Chicago, she studied and performed improvisation acting at Second City Training Center and the iO Theater. She has also studied Zumba, and is a certified instructor.

PERSONAL DANCE HISTORY

Veronica’s love and passion for dance began at the young age of two. She danced competitively throughout her childhood and adolescent years. After competing during her college years, she danced with the Switzerland chapter of "Culture Shock", an international hip-hop company, "Culture Shock" in San Diego, and Urban FX. She has also danced and choreographed for the "New Dance Company" based out of Switzerland, and “Tanz Emotion Dance Academy” based out of Freiburg, Germany. Veronica is the founder and was a performer for "Velocity,” one of Detroit's longest running casino shows.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Veronica’s work experience is vast and well rounded. For over 20 years, he has worked professionally in various roles in both the United States and Europe. Her experiences include: choreographer, teacher, performer, judge, makeup artist, and costume designer. Creating for the national and the world stage, she has choreographed opening acts for LL Cool J, India Arie, Busta Rhymes, Jessica Simpson, Jo Jo, Ryan Cabrera, Aaron Carter, Jordan Knight and many more. She has also worked with NBA dance teams, the reality television series, “Dance Moms,” and many international and national award winning dance companies. Veronica’s students are known throughout the United States for their superior technique in dance. She has students who have debuted on Broadway, in film, television, and commercials. Former students of Veronica have gone on to dance with Rihanna, Usher, Michael Jackson, Beyonce, Lady Ga Ga, “So You Think You Can Dance”, “Dancing With the Stars”, Disney, NBA Dance teams, NFL dance teams, and many more. After moving to Toledo, Veronica took on the role of Creative Director for Inspire Dance Center in 2014, taught at Toledo School for the Arts, and launched Gravity Dance Company in 2019. Her work with these dancers have gained national titles and awards. In addition to her local work, she continues to choreograph and teach workshops around the country and internationally. Her teaching style is reflective of her training as a Dance Movement Therapist. She implements authentic movement and views each dancer wholistically: the physical, the emotional and the spiritual.

OUTSIDE OF DANCE

When Veronica is not creating in the studio, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Doug, and their three children, Alex, Vianne, and Dakota. She credits her family as her greatest accomplishment.
